This contribution presents a collaborative performance between a human and an affective autonomous agent, exploring approaches to music generation that mimics human-like processes, using an autonomous agent in the TidalCycles live coding language. The model is trained on a small dataset and by employing a small data approach, the agent autonomously generates code based on human models of affect, learning to engage with the performance in real time by adopting human-like ways of understanding and interacting with music. The focus is on creating an interactive experience where both human and machine engage in an improvisational dialogue. | About the artist: |
